ERP Implementation Specialist – Finance & Manufacturing

About the Opportunity

PlayCore is seeking an experienced ERP Implementation Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing and financial operations to support the continued implementation, expansion, and optimization of its enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment.

This individual will play a key role in PlayCore's ongoing transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), supporting the migration of acquired and existing businesses from legacy accounting and ERP platforms into a standardized enterprise system.

Working closely with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and external implementation partners, this position will bridge business processes and technology to drive successful ERP implementations and continuous system improvement. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience with major ERP implementations, a strong understanding of manufacturing financial processes, and the technical aptitude to support system configuration, integrations, data migration, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization.

This is an opportunity to help shape PlayCore's long-term ERP strategy, strengthen internal system capabilities, and support the standardization of business processes across a growing, multi-site organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, expansion, and ongoing optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) across PlayCore's portfolio of manufacturing and operating businesses.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional and technical ERP solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for manufacturing financial processes, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory costing, absorption, and job costing.
  • Participate in all phases of ERP implementations, including requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, system configuration, testing, data migration, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Support the transition of acquired businesses and existing entities from legacy accounting and ERP platforms into PlayCore's standardized enterprise environment.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, financial controls, and system functionality.
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams, developers, software vendors, and implementation partners to support system enhancements, integrations, reporting, and technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex functional and technical system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
  • Develop and maintain functional specifications, process flows, system documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality, financial processes, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Support data migration, conversion, and validation activities to help ensure accuracy and consistency across business systems.
  • Assist with end-user training, change management, and adoption of standardized ERP processes across multiple locations.
  • Help develop internal ERP support capabilities.
  • Assist with implementation planning, project timelines, milestones, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Support reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence initiatives to improve visibility into financial and operational performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise applications, or technology initiatives.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience participating in at least one major ERP implementation, conversion, or enterprise-wide system rollout.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing financial and accounting processes, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory costing, absorption, and job costing.
  • Experience with business process analysis, requirements gathering, system testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical system solutions.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).
  • Experience with other major enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Infor.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing organizations or multiple entities.
  • Experience with acquisitions, ERP conversions, and legacy system migrations.
  • Exposure to ERP configuration, system integrations, SQL, database concepts, and reporting tools.
  • Project management experience or exposure to implementation planning and coordination.

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, implementation methodologies, and enterprise business processes.
  • Ability to bridge functional business requirements with technical system solutions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing financial processes and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with reporting and business intelligence tools is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and build relationships across multiple business units.

Travel Expectations

This position requires domestic travel to PlayCore manufacturing and operating locations to support ERP implementations, system conversions, training, and go-live activities. Travel may involve trips of approximately one week at a time, with frequency varying based on project timelines and business needs. Occasional extended hours may be required during critical implementation and go-live periods.
