Apprectice Moldmaker

Job Type: X Full-Time ☐ Part-Time ☐ Temporary ☐ Intern

Location: Hyannis, MA (on-site)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with the construction, repair, modification, and maintenance of molds and tooling.
• Operate and learn to safely use machine tools and shop equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, and other precision equipment.
• Learn to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges.
• Perform basic machining, fitting, grinding, drilling, and finishing operations.
• Assist experienced mold makers with mold assembly, disassembly, fitting, and troubleshooting.
• Learn proper techniques for spotting, fitting, polishing, and finishing mold components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating instructions.
• Perform other duties related to mold making and tooling as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn a skilled trade.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Skills Preferred

• Vocational, technical, machining, manufacturing, or mechanical training.
• Experience with machine shop equipment or hand tools.
• Basic blueprint or technical drawing experience.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools.
