Superintendent

Position Overview We are seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial construction projects in the Palm Beach market. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, managing subcontractor relationships, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality throughout the construction process. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects, strong technical knowledge, and the leadership skills necessary to coordinate multiple trades, resolve complex field challenges, and deliver projects successfully from groundbreaking through final turnover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily field operations, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
• Develop, maintain, and execute detailed construction schedules, including short-term look-ahead schedules and critical milestone tracking.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure proper sequencing and productivity.
• Oversee site logistics, manpower planning, material deliveries, equipment coordination, and overall jobsite organization.
• Enforce company safety policies, site-specific safety plans, and OSHA requirements.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure all work meets project specifications, applicable codes, and company standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to resolve design conflicts, RFIs, and constructability issues.
• Identify potential delays, cost impacts, and scheduling conflicts, implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Lead daily coordination meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project progress reviews.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, document field activities, and communicate project status and risks to the project team.
• Oversee project commissioning, punch-list completion, inspections, and final turnover.
• Mentor and provide direction to assistant superintendents, field engineers, and other field personnel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial construction experience, with a strong background in field supervision.
• Proven experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish.
• Experience leading large, complex projects and coordinating multiple subcontractors and trades.
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, site logistics, quality control, and safety management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to manage jobsite demands and coordinate effectively with project stakeholders.
