Social Studies Teacher

Summary The Social Studies Teacher will be responsible for teaching and instructing students in the field of social studies at Lakeview North High School. The successful candidate will create lesson plans, deliver lectures, and evaluate student performance in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the school's curriculum and educational standards
• Deliver lectures and facilitate classroom discussions on topics related to social studies
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and other assessments
• Provide feedback to students and parents on academic progress
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance
• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as needed
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Social Studies
• Previous experience teaching social studies at the high school level preferred
• Strong knowledge of social studies curriculum and educational standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage students in the learning process
