School Bus Driver

We are a New York City based school transportation company seeking reliable and responsible drivers to transport students to and from school using small vehicles (vans/SUVs such as Ford Transit and Dodge Caravan). This position involves operating short, consistent routes with a focus on safety, punctuality, and maintaining a calm environment for students.

Duties:

• Safely operate a small school vehicle (van/SUV)
• Transport students to and from school on assigned routes
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures
• Perform basic pre-trip vehicle inspections
• Assist students with boarding and exiting as needed
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays or issues
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment

Additional Details:

• Small vans (Transit / Caravan), not big buses
• Only 23 kids per route no packed vehicles
• Same students and same routes every day (no chaos, no guessing)
• Short, simple routes not running all over the city
• Calm environment no large groups, no noise, no stress
• Split shift = free time in the middle of the day
• Easy to drive vehicles, no need to deal with big bus handling

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Split shift (morning and afternoon routes)
• Morning: 6:30 AM - 9:00 AM
• Afternoon: 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Pay:

• $20 per hour
• Paid training provided

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class B or C with Passenger (P) endorsement
• Clean driving record (some older infractions/points may be acceptable; abstract will be reviewed)
• Ability to pass fingerprinting, drug test, and medical exam
• Comfortable working with children
• Reliable and punctual
