Math Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to join our educational team at Perry Co Central High School. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop a love for mathematics while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in various mathematical concepts, including algebra, geometry, and calculus.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in mathematics education.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Supervise and support students during extracurricular activities, such as math clubs or competitions, as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics for high school levels.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the high school level, with a strong understanding of curriculum and instructional strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
