Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Cook:
- Prepare and cook food in a high-volume event environment
- Sauté, grill, fry, and cook menu items according to recipes and food-safety guidelines
- Chop, slice, wash, and prepare fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients
- Prepare salads, sides, and other menu items
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation instructions
- Assist with food service and catering needs throughout the event
- Prepare food and trays for service
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food-preparation areas
- Take out trash, clean workstations, and assist with kitchen cleanup as needed
- Support the culinary and event teams with additional duties as needed

Job requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
- Previous cook or food-preparation experience in a high-volume kitchen, catering, hospitality, or event environment preferred
- Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation
- Able to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced event environment
- Able to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Dependable and able to work scheduled event shifts
- Background check required
