REPORTS TO: Athletic Director

AVAILABLE: Spring 2027

LOCATION: High School

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Stipend in accordance with EDR contract as stated in the PEA Collective Bargaining Agreement

DESCRIPTION: Pennridge School District is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to serve as an Assistant Coach for our baseball program. This role supports the Head Coach in providing leadership, mentorship, and instruction to student-athletes while promoting a positive, inclusive team culture.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTION:

• Assist the Head Coach with planning and leading practices and competitions.
• Support the development of student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Promote academic achievement and personal growth among athletes.
• Assist with supervision and safety of all team members during activities.
• Help manage equipment and maintain team standards of conduct.
• Model positive behavior and represent the school in a professional manner.
• Follow all school, district, league, and state athletic association rules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some coaching or playing experience in the sport (preferably at the high school level).
• Basic understanding of the game, rules, and strategy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and school staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• CPR/First Aid certification.
• NFHS coaching certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience working with youth or student-athletes.
• Familiarity with school athletic program policies and procedures.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Physical and Clearances must be dated within the last 12-months. TB test within the last 90-days.
