• Build and manage distributed, containerized microservices and applications.
• Implement messaging systems, APIs, networking solutions, and event-driven architectures.
• Design and maintain relational databases, data models, and software integrations.
• Optimize software performance, memory usage, and resource utilization in constrained environments.
• Apply modern software development practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design decisions, and secure development practices.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality, productivity, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex software systems.
• Strong proficiency in Rust or similar systems programming languages, including software architecture and design patterns.
• Extensive Linux experience, including multiple distributions, kernel configuration, system-level development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing and managing distributed, containerized microservices and applications.
• Experience with messaging systems, networking, APIs, event-driven architectures, and interprocess communication.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
• Ability to develop efficient, reliable software for resource-constrained environments, with expertise in CPU, memory, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and collaborative development practices.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality and productivity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to architectural decisions while remaining hands-on.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with Rust, cloud-native technologies, and distributed messaging systems.
• Full-stack development experience, particularly with TypeScript, React, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience developing real-time, embedded, or high-performance software, including GPU or FPGA acceleration.
• Familiarity with software security and hardening, including security scans, Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs), STIG remediation, and secure development practices.
• Experience with advanced data technologies, including PostgreSQL/PostGIS, geospatial processing, graph databases, or semantic data models.
• Experience developing open-architecture software frameworks, SDKs, APIs, or extensible application platforms.
