Materials Handler I 📍 Torrance, CA 🏢 PDS Defense, Inc. 🆔 Job ID: 216597 Shift & Pay 🕖 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 💲 Pay Rate: $21.58 per hour Position Overview PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Materials Handler I with strong knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality standards. This role is responsible for the receipt, storage, inventory control, documentation, and distribution of materials in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

Materials Management

• Receive and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality
• Label materials properly for storage or distribution
• Maintain accurate inventory and perform inventory audits
• Store materials according to handling and environmental requirements
• Operate material handling equipment safely

Documentation & Recordkeeping

• Maintain records of incoming and outgoing materials
• Update packing lists, inventory reports, and bills of lading
• Ensure documentation complies with AS9100 standards

AS9100 Compliance

• Follow aerospace quality management system requirements
• Support audits and inspections
• Identify process improvements and corrective actions
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams

Team Collaboration

• Coordinate with procurement, production, and QA departments
• Communicate material shortages and delivery schedules
• Assist departments with material requests and workflow support

Qualifications

✅ High School Diploma or equivalent ✅ AS9100 Certification REQUIRED ✅ Previous materials handling or manufacturing experience ✅ Aerospace industry experience preferred ✅ Strong inventory and documentation skills ✅ Computer proficiency for inventory systems ✅ Strong communication and teamwork abilities ✅ Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely ✅ Lean manufacturing experience is a plus Benefits May Include
