Overview:

Connection has a fantastic opportunity through our Technical Staffing division for a Sr Infrastructure Engineer. This is a full-time position with benefits. Seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure. This is a hands-on senior technical role supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization, enterprise storage, networking, firewalls, Microsoft 365, and cybersecurity. Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, network infrastructure, firewalls, and storage systems. Manage and support Windows Server environments, VMware virtualization, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Active Directory. Administer Cisco firewalls, VPN connectivity, Meraki switches, and wireless infrastructure. Implement infrastructure security, patching, vulnerability management, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions. Lead complex infrastructure projects, develop technical plans, and proactively troubleshoot system issues. Establish technical standards, documentation, and best practices while mentoring team members. Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on infrastructure solutions and technology recommendations. Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support for critical infrastructure needs.

Requirements:

15+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure and advanced networking. Strong experience managing 50+ Windows servers, including Windows Server 2019 or newer. Hands-on expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter. Experience administering NetApp enterprise storage.
