CNC Laser & Press Brake Operator

Job Summary: Responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC plate-processing equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components for fabrication and manufacturing projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC plate-processing equipment; including Mitsubishi 40-ton press brake, TRUMPF TruBend V130 press brake, and/or TRUMPF TruMatic L3030 laser
• Load, position, form, and process sheet and plate material safely and accurately.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings; apply shop math, basic math, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to verify dimensions.
• Perform press brake setups, including tooling changes and adjustments required to achieve specified dimensions and angles.
• Program and adjust equipment as needed for individual jobs and production requirements.
• Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to verify dimensions and conformance to print.
• Make machine, tooling, and program adjustments to correct dimensional or quality issues.
• Monitor equipment during operation and identify problems before they result in scrap, rework, or equipment damage.
• Coordinate with fab, and machining, departments to keep work moving efficiently.
