Original job description

Are you obsessed with data, partner success, taking action, and changing the game? If you have a whole lot of hustle and a touch of nerd, come work with Pattern! We want you to use your skills to push one of the fastest-growing companies headquartered in the US to the top of the list.

Pattern accelerates brands on global ecommerce marketplaces leveraging proprietary technology and AI. Utilizing more than 66 trillion data points, sophisticated machine learning and AI models, Pattern optimizes and automates all levers of ecommerce growth for global brands, including advertising, content management, logistics and fulfillment, pricing, forecasting and customer service. Hundreds of global brands depend on Pattern’s ecommerce acceleration platform every day to drive profitable revenue growth across 60+ global marketplaces - including Amazon, Walmart.com, Target.com, eBay, Tmall, TikTok Shop, JD, and Mercado Libre. To learn more, visit pattern.com or email press@pattern.com.

Pattern has been named one of the fastest growing tech companies headquartered in North America by Deloitte and one of best-led companies by Inc. We place employee experience at the center of our business model and have been recognized as one of Newsweek’s Global Most Loved Workplaces®.

As a Senior Product Manager for DTC at Pattern, you will own the strategy and roadmap for the software that powers our direct-to-consumer fulfillment operation. You will lead a dedicated engineering team through two-week sprints to build and scale order management, guided pick, pack, and ship workflows, carrier and rate optimization, and DTC inventory replenishment tools. This role sits at the intersection of high-volume fulfillment operations and rapid technology expansion, driving measurable gains in order accuracy, ship speed, and cost per order across our growing warehouse network.

What is a day in the life of a Sr Product Manager - DTC?

• Connect daily with the offshore engineering team (8:00 to 9:00 AM MT) to facilitate standups, unblock technical decisions, and keep execution aligned with the roadmap.

• Run sprint planning, write user stories and acceptance criteria, assign sprint points, and lead retrospectives every two weeks.

• Partner with UX designers to design and refine guided tools for warehouse associates across picking, packing, labeling, and replenishment.

• Work with Warehouse Operations, Client Services, and Finance to identify DTC pain points, prioritize requirements, and run User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Analyze order, carrier, and labor data to find opportunities in carrier selection, packaging, same-day ship cutoffs, and cost per order.

• Turn operational problems into business cases with clear success metrics, and present tradeoffs and roadmap decisions to leadership.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

• 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 2 years owning a product area in DTC or ecommerce fulfillment, warehousing, WMS/OMS, or supply chain.

• Track record of owning a multi-quarter roadmap end to end, from discovery through launch and adoption, with measurable business outcomes.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and two-week sprint cycles, including distributed teams across time zones.

• Working knowledge of DTC fulfillment: order orchestration, pick/pack/ship, carrier rate shopping, cartonization, inventory slotting and replenishment, and ecommerce platform integrations (e.g., Shopify).

• Strong data skills: comfortable writing SQL in Snowflake, building analyses in Excel or Google Sheets, and using AI development assistants (e.g., Claude, Cursor).

• Ability to influence without authority and align engineering, design, operations, and executive stakeholders around a shared direction.

What does high performance look like?

• Ship DTC releases that move core metrics: order accuracy, on-time ship rate, cost per order, and units per labor hour.

• Replace manual processes, spreadsheets, and workarounds with automated, in-house software that scales with order volume.

• Deliver sprint commitments on time while keeping team velocity and quality high.

• Set a clear DTC product vision and multi-quarter roadmap that leadership and operations trust.

• Anticipate operational constraints ahead of peak season and have solutions in place before volume hits.

• Raise the bar for product practice on the team through strong documentation, prioritization, and mentorship of peers.

What is my potential for career growth?

• Own a core product line within a fast-growing tech business expanding 30 to 40% annually.

• Direct exposure to enterprise-level DTC fulfillment scaling, double-digit facility network expansion, and warehouse automation.

• Path to Principal or Group Product Manager roles with ownership across multiple fulfillment product areas.

• Professional network development through close collaboration with senior leadership and global operations experts.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?

• 30 Days: Build relationships across engineering, operations, and client teams, learn the DTC order flow end to end on the warehouse floor, and master the existing systems, data, and DTC product roadmap.

• 60 Days: Take full ownership of two-week sprint planning, use data to identify the top DTC cost and accuracy drivers, and deliver early feature releases with UX.

• 90 Days: Present an updated DTC product strategy and roadmap to leadership, independently lead primary DTC initiatives, and show measurable movement on at least one core operational metric.

What is the team like?

This role reports directly to the Director of Product Management. You will be joining a team of growing technology and logistics professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Lead Developers, Software Engineers, and UX Designers, as well as Warehouse Operations, Client Services, Supply Chain, and Finance. As a senior member of the product team, you will also be expected to mentor other product managers. This position is mentored by the VP of Product / Director of Product Management.

Sounds great! What's the company culture?

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Game Changers - A game changer is someone who looks at problems with an open mind and shares new ideas with team members, regularly reassesses existing plans and attaches a realistic timeline to goals, makes profitable, productive, and innovative contributions, and actively pursues improvements to Pattern's processes and outcomes.

• Data Fanatics - A data fanatic is someone who recognizes problems and seeks to understand them through data, draws unbiased conclusions based on data that lead to actionable solutions, and continues to track the effects of the solutions using data.

• Partner Obsessed - An individual who is partner obsessed clearly explains the status of projects to partners and relies on constructive feedback, actively listens to partner's expectations, and delivers results that exceed them, prioritizes the needs of your partners, and takes the time to create a personable experience for those interacting with Pattern.

• Team of Doers - Someone who is a part of a team of doers uplifts team members and recognizes their specific contributions, takes initiative to help in any circumstance, actively contributes to supporting improvements, and holds themselves accountable to the team as well as to partners.
