About Us

At PATCO Products, we’re behind many of the everyday products people know and use. As North America’s only dedicated emulsifier house, we partner with manufacturers across the food, personal care, pet nutrition, and polymer industries to create better-performing products and solve formulation challenges. Backed by decades of expertise, we combine innovation, technical knowledge, and operational excellence to deliver the quality and reliability our customers count on. Our people are at the heart of our success, and we’re always looking for talented individuals ready to grow, contribute, and make an impact. About the Role PATCO Products is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Grandview, Missouri. If you enjoy working with data, maintaining accurate records, solving inventory discrepancies, and supporting daily logistics operations, this could be a great opportunity for you! This is a clerical, computer-based position focused on inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving documentation, data entry, and inventory coordination. This is NOT a physical warehouse or material handling position. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, vendors, transportation partners, and internal departments. What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counting, data entry, inventory reconciliation, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Process and verify incoming purchase orders, warehouse transfers, and inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Use inventory management systems, including BPCS/LX, to process orders and maintain accurate inventory transactions.
  • Coordinate inbound delivery appointments with vendors and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse partners.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping and receiving documentation, customer order labels, and inventory reports.
  • Investigate inventory shortages, discrepancies, and errors, making necessary corrections and reporting findings to management.
  • Process receiving documentation for raw materials, resale products, and customer returns.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, warehouse operations, and transportation teams to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
  • Issue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to employees and customers as needed.
  • Assist with customs documentation for shipments to Canada when required.
  • Verify that customer orders have been processed and shipped accurately.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical records, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
  • Support training of new personnel on applicable inventory procedures.
  • Provide backup support for logistics-related administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform additional administrative and inventory control duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of clerical, administrative, inventory control, or shipping and receiving office experience.
  • Experience with computer-based data entry, recordkeeping, and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and reviewing information.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and follow established procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or inventory control environment.
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP systems, such as BPCS/LX.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, receiving documentation, shipping records, and cycle counting.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party logistics providers (3PL).
  • Knowledge of quality documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COAs).

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Primarily an office-based, computer-focused position within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Regular use of computers, inventory management software, scanners, printers, and other office equipment.
  • May require sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the workday.
  • Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Candidates must be flexible, as scheduled hours may vary or change based on operational requirements.
  • Weekend & Overtime Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and overtime as needed based on business needs.
