Field Technician

Job Title: Road Warrior Engineer / Field Technician Location: Heavy travel in North America Job Type: Full-time permanent position Salary: $65 - $85 Based on Exp.

We are seeking a high-energy Road Warrior Engineer to lead on-site physical installations of cutting-edge AV and digital signage systems. In this field-based role, you will combine hands-on AV expertise with structural/construction knowledge to deliver complex installations, ranging from large-format LED walls to ceiling-mounted digital menus. You will serve as the lead technician on-site, manage local third-party contractors, and act as the face of our organization to the client.

Responsibilities

On-Site Technical Leadership: Lead field installations of commercial AV equipment, cabling, ceiling mounts, structural supports, and display hardware. Specialized Installs: Assemble and calibrate complex systems, including LED video walls, digital menu boards, and integrated media players. Contractor & Field Oversight: Direct and supervise local third-party contractors, electrical partners, and site labor to ensure work meets quality standards and safety guidelines. Client Representation: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for client teams, providing professional updates and ensuring a smooth handover. Heavy Travel: Travel extensively to client locations nationwide to execute time-sensitive deployment projects.

Qualifications

Hands-on Field Experience: Proven track record physically installing commercial AV and digital signage solutions. AV & Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding of structural mounting, electrical requirements, cabling, wall backing, and building/construction practices. LED Expertise (Major Bonus): Experience with LED tile technology (e.g., Absen, Samsung) and processing/controllers (e.g., NovaStar). Leadership & Communication: Strong capability to direct job site crews and professionally interact with clients. Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel heavily on a frequent and continual basis.
