Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide skilled rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role supports patients in improving safety, independence, daily function, and quality of life across home, outpatient, assisted living, independent living, board and care, and other community-based settings.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to the established care plan and within OTA scope of practice.
• Help patients build skills in ADLs, IADLs, mobility, cognition, safety awareness, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, fall prevention, energy conservation, and safe use of equipment.
• Communicate patient progress, changes in condition, care barriers, and safety concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist and care team.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation in compliance with organizational, payer, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent recognized program.
• Current, unrestricted California Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; home health, outpatient, geriatric, community-based, or rehabilitation experience a plus.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area and meet the physical demands of patient care, with or without reasonable accommodation.
