Role Summary:

The Donut Baker / Line Cook is responsible for preparing, producing, and finishing high-

quality donuts, pastries, breakfast items, and other menu oJerings in accordance with

company recipes and standards. This role ensures fresh products are available for

customers each day by operating bakery equipment, maintaining food safety and sanitation

standards, monitoring product quality, and supporting eJicient kitchen operations.

Essential Duties:

Prepares, mixes, proofs, fries, bakes, and finishes donuts, pastries, and other menu

items according to established recipes, procedures, and quality standards.

Produces yeast-raised and cake donuts, glazes, icings, fillings, frostings, and

specialty toppings.

Prepares breakfast items, sandwiches, and other food products as assigned.

Operates bakery and kitchen equipment safely, including mixers, proofers, fryers,

ovens, and other food preparation equipment.

Monitors product quality throughout the production process, ensuring consistency in

appearance, taste, freshness, and portion size.

Stocks display cases and production areas with fresh products before and during

business hours.

Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with

company policies and local health regulations.

Follows all food safety, personal hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.

Works collaboratively with team members to ensure eJicient operations and timely

product availability.

Assists with additional bakery, kitchen, cleaning, or preparation duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in baking, food preparation, restaurant, bakery, or kitchen

operations preferred but not required.

Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and written or verbal instructions

accurately.

Dependable, punctual, and able to consistently work early morning, overnight,

weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.

Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

Food Handler Permit/Certification required or ability to obtain within a designated

timeframe.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a retail bakery and kitchen setting with exposure to hot ovens,

fryers, cooking equipment, and varying temperatures.

Employees regularly work around flour, sugar, oils, food ingredients, and cleaning

chemicals.

Position requires working early morning or overnight shifts to ensure fresh products

are available for customers at opening.

Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and production schedules.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, up to an entire shift.

Frequently use hands and arms for mixing, lifting, decorating, preparing, and

packaging products.

Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies, ingredients, and equipment weighing up to 50

pounds.

Ability to safely handle hot equipment, trays, and food products using appropriate

protective equipment.
