Review design documentation and lead a team that performs coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and threat modeling throughout the development process.
Handle the resolution of sensitive issues.
Stay current on industry trends. Implement and monitor new technologies, industry trends and best practices.
Maintain long-term relationships with vendors and other third-party resources to ensure high quality services are delivered consistently.
Provide the right amount of information – descriptions are concise, timelines have estimates, ownership is clear, call out risks and blockers with a path forward, etc.
Evaluate runbooks and system maintenance documentation to make sure they are effective and usable by frontline support.
Hold retrospectives and post-mortems to help SWEs grow.
