Palo Alto Networks is seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Engineering to serve as the local site leader for our Prisma Access Browser engineering organization in Santa Clara, CA. Prisma Browser represents a category-defining leap forward in enterprise security, delivering an uncompromised enterprise browsing experience deeply integrated into our broader Network Security and SASE ecosystem. This high-visibility role serves as the key leadership anchor for our rapidly growing local team and functions as the primary bridge to our global engineering hub in Tel Aviv.
As the senior engineering leader in Santa Clara, you will own the end-to-end operational execution, talent scaling, and cross-functional alignment for Prisma Browser at HQ. You will maintain our aggressive, high-velocity continuous delivery model while partnering seamlessly with local Product Management, Go-To-Market (GTM), Customer Support, and executive platform leadership.
The ideal candidate is a battle-tested engineering leader with deep roots in cybersecurity and endpoint software models, a track record of driving rapid continuous deployment, and demonstrated AI fluency. You bring natural cross-cultural leadership dexterity with proven experience aligning distributed international hubs across significant time-zone differences while maintaining a relentless customer-centric focus on real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the site leader for Santa Clara Prisma Browser engineering. Directly mentor, sponsor, and scale a multi-team organization, cultivating an inclusive, high-trust environment defined by technical excellence, accountability, and operational agility.
- Act as the primary bridge between our Tel Aviv and Santa Clara engineering teams. Seamlessly translate architecture vision, culture, and operational priorities across international teams while navigating complex time-zone offsets.
- Protect and evolve Prisma Browser’s high-velocity shipping culture. Drive modern CI/CD release practices that sustain multiple release cycles per week, balancing rapid feature delivery with platform stability, performance, and rigorous security standards.
- Own strategic alignment with key stakeholders, representing Prisma Browser engineering across the broader NetSec/SASE platform to ensure unified platform architecture and joint operational workflows.
- Customer Engagement & Executive Advocacy. Serve as the primary engineering spokesperson in the region. Directly engage enterprise customers, field architecture teams, and executive partners during customer meetings, active deployments, and escalation reviews.
- Drive AI-savvy engineering practices across the organization, applying modern AI technologies and automation tools to optimize software development life cycles, codebase quality, and threat mitigation models.
