Speech Therapist (SLP) Facility: Palm Beach Nursing Center Location: Palm Beach, Florida Schedule: PRN Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Join Our Rehabilitation Team Palm Beach Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to help residents improve communication, function, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized speech and language therapy programs based on each resident’s needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluate residents and provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing abilities.
• Assist residents in learning and using adaptive communication devices when appropriate.
• Select therapeutic activities that align with residents’ physical and cognitive abilities, interests, and treatment goals.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Monitor and document resident progress, modifying treatment programs as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and facility staff regarding speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing-related needs.
• Provide training and guidance to nursing and other staff regarding appropriate speech therapy techniques and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program.
• ASHA-certified or eligible for ASHA certification.
• Current or eligible for Florida Speech-Language Pathology licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible to obtain certification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
