Original job description

About the Company and Team

At Oracle Health, our mission is to improve healthcare and quality of life globally through better experience and easier access to health and research data for patients and healthcare providers. We are looking for hands-on lead engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience. This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud centric applications from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on hard-working new initiatives. An engineering at any level can have significant technical and business impact here. You will be part of a team of hard-working, motivated, a diverse set of people, and given the autonomy as well as support to do your best work. It is a dynamic and flexible workplace where you’ll belong and be encouraged. We operate with a startup mentality providing the best of two worlds -- the autonomy to iterate on new ideas, working on innovative technology, while sitting within a stable, larger organization at Oracle. We’re working on big goals, and we need dedicated folks with equally big ambitions. Join us!

About the Job

We're seeking a highly skilled lead engineer to modernize OHAI’s Revenue Cycle product portfolio with AI smart applications. As an engineering lead, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art cloud native applications to power our Revenue Cycle product suite. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and data scientists to unlock machine learning capabilities in all our products. Our new platform will be built directly on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) based on cloud native principles. We build to scale globally, leveraging state-of-the-art tooling, with zero downtime.

As a Lead Principal Member on this Team, you will be leading the effort in defining, designing, and delivering the platform using latest technologies on OCI. You will partner with product team, learn about the existing challenges, and influence the vision and direction. You will own the entire software lifecycle – development, testing, CI/CD and production operations. You must balance between product feature development and production operational concerns like writing run books, ops automation, structured logging, instrumentation for metrics and events leveraging a plethora of internal tooling at OCI.

From a technology perspective, this is a greenfield development environment with a huge amount of autonomy, leaving us free to build and innovate without being encumbered by legacy products and services.

About You:

You are an experienced cloud engineer with a proven track record of delivering high-scale, high-impact solutions
You are obsessed with the customer, always exceeding expectations
You have excellent communication skills. You can clearly explain complex technical concepts
