Who We Are
Having surpassed $300M ARR and continuing to grow, Optro helps enterprises transform risk into opportunity through its AI-powered GRC Intelligence Platform. More than 50% of the Fortune 500, including 7 of the Fortune 10, leverage our award-winning technology to move their businesses forward with greater clarity and agility. And our customers love us: Optro is top-rated on G2.com http://G2.com and Gartner Peer Insights.
At Optro, we inspire each other to innovate and are proud of what we are producing. We spend each day thinking of new ways to help our customers and contribute to the greater good of our company and our surrounding communities. We are all about assisting each other and breaking through barriers to create the most loved audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec platform by our customers. This is how we have become one of the 500 fastest-growing tech companies in North America for the seventh year in a row, as ranked by Deloitte!
Why This Role is Exciting
The Sr. Strategic Programs & Operations Manager is the connective tissue of Optro’s execution engine. You will own key Must-Win Battles (our company-level strategic initiatives) end to end: how they are defined, how they are measured, and whether they deliver. You will lead transformation work that makes our go-to-market motion more scalable, and rebuild how we plan and report so leaders spend less time assembling the picture and more time acting on it. If you are an individual contributor and a strategic operator looking to drive the transformation initiatives that scale a platform, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the logic of our Must-Win Battles (MWB), ensuring every initiative has a clear owner, measurable goals, and a baseline.
- Hold MWB owners accountable for outcome quality and ensure executive decisions become workstreams that leaders below the ELT can run.
- Diagnose stalled MWBs, quantify the strategic cost of delay, and bring the ELT data-driven recommendations on resource reallocation.
- Mitigate strategic risks by anticipating friction and brokering trade-offs between GTM and Product goals before they reach the ELT.
- Cascade MWB direction into clear communication so teams across Optro understand what we are betting on, why, and what their part is.
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives focused on GTM scalability and scaling the GRC platform, from business case through measured impact.
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to cross-functional peers and executives, challenging assumptions and pressure-testing plans.
- Design and lead the operational strategic rhythm of the business: the annual planning cycle, quarterly re-prioritization, and monthly deep-dives.
- Partner with AI, Enterprise, and Operations teams to rethink operational reporting with AI, automating KPI tracking and reducing manual bottlenecks.
- Evaluate our operating model to identify inefficiencies and implement structural or process changes to increase organizational velocity.
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
- 6-9+ years in Strategy & Operations, BizOps, Corporate Strategy, or management consulting (B2B SaaS strongly preferred).
- Portfolio ownership experience, including running company-level strategic initiatives and recommending executive resource reallocation.
- Operations experience, including managing monthly and quarterly business reviews, board packs, and annual planning.
- Quantitative depth to build complex models, paired with superior synthesis skills to turn messy executive discussions into clear decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without authority through credibility and follow-through.
- Demonstrated AI fluency, having personally built AI-enabled workflows (reporting, synthesis, automation) that removed real manual work.
Nice to Have
- Background in GRC, audit, risk, compliance, ERP, or financial reporting software.
*perks may vary based on eligibility/location
Our Company Values
- Customer obsession: It starts and ends here. Consistently ask yourself how what you’re doing creates value for our customers. It’s a mindset.
- Gritty resilience: Make it happen. Find a way. Move fast, stay positive, and do what it takes.
- Drive innovation: Create the future. Continuously improve what exists and invent what’s next.
- Win, together: One team. No silos, no egos. Drive to be the best and support each other’s success.
- Growth mindset: 10x, not 10%. Think in orders of magnitude, not increments. Seek feedback, learn, and improve.
We love building strong partnerships, but please note that Optro cannot accept unsolicited resumes from agencies. Any submissions without a signed agreement in place will not create a fee obligation.
