Material Handler

Position pays: $18

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare raw materials for production by picking, measuring, mixing, staging and delivery
• Load and unload raw materials by operating a forklift to the required job location
• Review the production schedule to effectively perform material/color changes for upcoming production
• Correctly mix materials to ensure the proper level of color concentrates, additives, and/or regrind is being used
• Perform material and color changeovers
• Operate material blenders and grinders

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to determine material calculations
• Ability to speak, read, and write the English language
• Seasoned forklift experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and and related experience accrued on-the-job training Equipment operation

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, able to climb ladders and steps safely without assistance
• Able to frequently lift, push and pull loads up to 40 lbs. without the use of an assisting device
• Visual acuity to identify color variations.
