Position Title: RSI – Cyber Engineer Location: Alexandria, VA – Hybrid (must reside in the DC/MD/VA area) Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS)

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct technology assessments in support of DoD CORA and CCRI efforts, with a primary focus on Linux environments.
• Perform interviews, examinations, and technical testing to evaluate compliance with DoD security engineering standards and policy requirements.
• Assist in preparing assessment deliverables, including Security Control Assessment Reports, Security Risk Assessments, and related documentation.
• Prepare and present briefings and reports on inspection results, critical areas of concern, and the remediation actions needed to reach compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
• 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE)
• Demonstrated proficiency in Linux operating systems (primary environment)
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs
• Familiarity with DoD CND OPORDs and TASKORDs
• Familiarity with DoD CCRI/CORA assessment areas, including Technical, Computer Network Defense (CND), and Contributing Factors
• Experience with common assessment tools such as STIG Viewer, ACAS/Nessus, WebInspect, Burp Suite, and RedSeal

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Databases (assessment, hardening, or administration)
• Experience with UNIX operating systems
• Familiarity with one or more of the following:
• Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Server
• Routing and switching
• Network defense appliances (firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies)
