Senior Vice President, Supply Chain
Department: Transportation Reports to: CEO Location: Remote FLSA Status: Exempt
About OneRail OneRail is redefining how enterprises orchestrate and execute omnichannel fulfillment.
Our technology-enabled, two-sided managed marketplace connects enterprise shippers with a diversified network of delivery providers, combining our OmniPoint software platform, intelligent orchestration, transportation capacity, and operational support into a unified fulfillment solution.
Through OmniSTAR, our AI-powered decisioning capabilities, we are advancing how enterprises optimize fulfillment decisions across transportation modes, fulfillment nodes, service requirements, delivery economics, and network capacity. Unlike traditional transportation providers or pure-play SaaS companies, OneRail brings together technology, supply chain intelligence, marketplace management, and physical delivery execution to solve some of the most complex challenges in enterprise fulfillment.
As our platform and customer relationships evolve, so must our supply chain capabilities and leadership.
The Opportunity OneRail is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Vice President, Supply Chain to lead the evolution of our Transportation organization into a broader, enterprise-class Supply Chain function. This executive will be responsible for transforming OneRail from a technology-enabled delivery partner into a strategic supply chain and fulfillment partner for some of the world's most sophisticated enterprises. The SVP will own the strategy, design, and economic performance of OneRail's transportation supply network while providing senior leadership across enterprise fulfillment strategy, solution consulting, and customer network transformation. The successful candidate will bring a rare combination of enterprise supply chain leadership, transportation network expertise, commercial acumen, and technology fluency. We are looking for a leader who has not only managed large, complex supply chain networks but has also helped design and transform them; someone who understands how enterprise customers evaluate fulfillment investments, justify transformation initiatives, manage operational change, and realize measurable returns. This individual must be equally credible advising a Fortune 500 supply chain executive, partnering with OneRail's sales organization to win a transformational customer engagement, and driving measurable improvements in transportation economics. This is a strategic growth and value-creation role, not a traditional transportation management position.
Key Responsibilities

- Help customers rethink how their existing infrastructure, stores, distribution centers, fleets, and transportation networks can support evolving omnichannel commerce requirements.
- Develop innovative fulfillment models that leverage OneRail's technology, managed marketplace, and expanding carrier network.
- Provide strategic guidance on ship-from-store, ship-from-warehouse, local delivery, parcel fulfillment, dedicated fleet optimization, and emerging omnichannel use cases.
- Identify opportunities to expand OneRail's role in customer fulfillment networks beyond its initial delivery use case.
- Build executive-level relationships that position OneRail as a long-term transformation partner rather than a transactional delivery provider.
- Transportation Network Strategy, Diversification & Economics Own the strategy and performance of OneRail's transportation supply ecosystem, including procurement, network development, optimization, and delivery economics.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive transportation network strategy that supports OneRail's growth, service quality, scalability, and margin objectives.
- Reduce overdependence on individual transportation providers and gig-based capacity by building a more balanced, diversified carrier network.
- Expand transportation capabilities across parcel, local courier, dedicated fleets, sprinter vans, box trucks, LTL, and other relevant delivery modes.
- Accelerate the transition from single-order, hotshot deliveries toward more economically efficient batched and routed transportation models.
- Leverage delivery density, aggregated shipper demand, and intelligent orchestration to improve carrier utilization, network efficiency, and procurement leverage.
- Establish data-driven network planning, transportation pricing, procurement strategies, and carrier performance management.
- Partner with Finance, Data Science, Product/Engineering, and Operations to identify and eliminate margin leakage, enforce contractual economics, and improve delivery-level profitability.
- Build a resilient supply network capable of supporting complex and specialized enterprise customer requirements.
- Drive continued improvement in contribution margin per delivery while maintaining or improving customer service performance.
- Supply Chain Solution Consulting & Commercial Enablement Develop a differentiated, enterprise-class solution consulting capability that becomes a competitive advantage and a catalyst for OneRail's growth.
- Provide executive leadership and subject matter expertise to OneRail's Solution Consulting function.

- Develop customer-specific strategies that demonstrate how OneRail can improve service levels, reduce transportation costs, improve asset utilization, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
- Actively participate in strategic enterprise sales opportunities, serving as an executive peer to customer supply chain and operations leadership.
- Support the conversion of pilots into long-term enterprise agreements through validated solution design, operational readiness, and demonstrated economic value.
- Identify opportunities to expand transportation share of wallet, software adoption, and broader enterprise relationships.
- Elevate OneRail's ability to sell business outcomes and fulfillment transformation rather than individual software features or delivery services.
- AI, Technology & Intelligent Fulfillment Optimization Translate supply chain expertise into differentiated technology capabilities, working closely with OneRail's Product, Engineering, and Data Science & AI teams.
- Help define how OmniPoint and OmniSTAR can improve enterprise fulfillment decisions and transportation economics.
- Guide the expansion of intelligent mode selection across parcel, courier, dedicated fleets, LTL, and batched/routed delivery networks.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, predictive analytics, and optimization to delivery consolidation, routing, pricing, capacity planning, and network utilization.
- Define supply chain requirements that inform OneRail's product strategy and enterprise technology roadmap.
- Collaborate on solutions that integrate OneRail into customer order management, transportation management, warehouse management, and enterprise commerce ecosystems.
- Ensure OneRail's technology investments create measurable customer value, sustainable operational leverage, and competitive differentiation.
- Translate emerging customer requirements into scalable platform capabilities rather than relying on customer-specific operational workarounds.
- Enterprise Growth, Market Expansion & Strategic Partnerships Help shape OneRail's next phase of growth by identifying new markets, fulfillment capabilities, and strategic opportunities.
- Develop supply chain strategies that expand OneRail's addressable market across industries, transportation modes, and fulfillment use cases.
- Support go-to-market strategies for retail, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, and logistics-related enterprises.
- Identify strategic carrier partnerships and opportunities to extend OneRail's network reach and capabilities.
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate new fulfillment models, transportation solutions, and opportunities for geographic or vertical expansion.
- Contribute to build-versus-buy decisions, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions that enhance OneRail's supply chain capabilities.
- Support the development of an enterprise fulfillment strategy that strengthens OneRail's long-term competitive positioning.
- Organizational Leadership & Operating Discipline Build and lead a high-performing Supply Chain organization that combines strategic thinking, commercial partnership, technical competency, and execution excellence.
- Lead the evolution of the current Transportation function into a comprehensive Supply Chain organization.
- Provide executive leadership across Logistics Optimization & Procurement, Supply Chain Strategy, and Solution Consulting.
- Establish clear accountability for network health, mode diversification, unit economics, fulfillment solution quality, and commercial enablement.
- Build the talent, processes, analytical capabilities, and operating cadence necessary to support enterprise scale.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Finance, Data Science, and Delivery Support.
- Establish measurable performance management practices that connect supply chain decisions to customer outcomes, growth, and enterprise profitability.
