Original job description
Not every great career starts in a classroom. Are you someone who likes figuring things out, staying busy, and seeing the results of your work? Do you pay attention to details, take pride in getting things right, and look for better ways to get things done? At Omega Bio-tek, we're looking for a sharp, motivated Logistics Associate who brings more than just the ability to move boxes. We want someone who thinks on their feet, takes initiative, and understands that the little details make a big difference. You don't need a college degree or years of warehouse experience to be successful here. What matters most is your work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to think critically. What You'll Do
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, and resolve discrepancies or damage.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move and organize materials.
- Help maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and tracking.
- Coordinate freight shipments, schedule pickups, and prepare shipping documentation.
- Keep shipping and inventory records accurate and up to date.
- Identify potential problems, communicate delays, and help find solutions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow established procedures and quality standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Pitch in wherever needed to help the team succeed.
What We're Looking For
- A problem solver. You don't just notice when something isn't right; you think about how to fix it.
- Detail-oriented. You understand that accuracy matters, even when things get busy.
- Self-motivated. You take ownership of your work without needing someone to constantly tell you what's next.
- Comfortable with technology. You're willing to learn inventory systems, scanners, and other tools.
- A team player. You communicate well, help others, and do your part to keep things moving.
- Reliable and adaptable. You show up ready to work and can adjust when priorities change.
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of a warehouse environment.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or forklift experience is helpful, but not required.
Why Omega Bio-tek? We're a growing company where the work you do matters. You'll be part of a team that supports the manufacturing and distribution of products used in scientific research and laboratories around the world. We value people who are curious, accountable, and willing to roll up their sleeves. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow based on what you bring to the table, we'd like to meet you. Bring your work ethic, your curiosity, and your willingness to learn. We'll help you build on the rest.
