Shuttle Driver

Shuttle Driver 80% Transportation 10% - Essential - Perform maintenance checks of vehicles. 10% - Essential - Maintain records of transported miles driven with paper and electronic devices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Maintain contact with dispatchers and communicate if you have fallen behind schedule.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations.
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Qualifications

• High School diploma or state issued GED
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report for past 3 years
• Must pass post offer drug screen, and DOT physical.
• Must pass MVR and background check.
• Current DOT medical cards
• Valid Truck License
