• Inspecting doors and wood components for scratches, dents, cracks, glue residue, sanding marks, contamination, and other surface defects.
• Confirming that products have been properly sanded and prepared.
• Performing additional sanding or surface preparation when required.
• Removing dust, dirt, grease, and other contaminants.
• Cleaning surfaces before applying finishing materials.
• Masking glass, hardware, openings, labels, and other areas that should not receive finish.
• Properly positioning doors and components for spraying.
• Protecting surrounding areas from overspray.
• Identifying products that require additional preparation before finishing.
• Communicating preparation or quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
