Medical Laboratory Tech

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Medical Laboratory Tech in Nashville, TN.

This position is primarily responsible for processing and analyzing a variety of biological samples obtained from patients under the direction of a general supervisor, department supervisor or designated technologist.

As a Medical Laboratory Tech, you will:

· Uses appropriate techniques to obtain and maintain integrity of specimen in relation to test performed

· Maintains identification of specimens keeping records and documentation as required

· Prepares specimens for analysis and retains samples according to procedure.

· Analyzes samples by following protocol in Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, Hematology, or other areas of the Lab

· Monitors and maintains quality control and technical accuracy of tests, procedures, and final reports

· Operates and calibrates laboratory instruments to ensure accuracy
