Data Scientist

Design, develop, validate, and maintain workforce modeling and simulation capabilities used to evaluate force structure changes, workforce flows, training pipelines, and readiness impacts. Responsible for translating workforce data into analytical models that support scenario analysis, bottleneck identification, and workforce optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, integrate, and prepare workforce, training, readiness, and force structure data from sources such as Envision, STARS, DMOG, AFMA, ARM, LCOM, and AETC systems to support workforce modeling efforts
• Develop and maintain workforce flow models, net flow analyses, and workforce health assessments to identify key drivers, bottlenecks, and constraints across the 2A force generation enterprise
• Design, develop, caliber, and validate simulation models, include Discrete Event Simulation and System Dynamics, to evaluate workforce planning scenarios and force structure alternatives
• Develop visualizations, dashboards, technical documentation, and analytical products to, dashboards, technical documentation, and analytical products to communicate findings and support leadership decision-making

Requirements

• Fully adjudicated Secret Clearance
• Data science and statistical analysis
• Coding in Python
• Data engineering and data integration
• Data visualization and dashboard development
• Model validation and calibration
• Quantitative analysis and forecasting

Desired Skills

• Experience with Discrete Event Simulation Modeling
• Experience with Envision
• Experience with AnyLogic, Simio, SimPy, JaamSim, or FlexSim
• Experience with workforce modeling or human capital analytics
• Experience with Linear or Mixed integer programming
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience in federal or DoW environments
• Experience working with military personnel or readiness data
