##

Role Overview

As a Senior Associate in Middleware & Platform Operations, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of critical middleware platforms supporting business applications and customer-facing services. You will administer MuleSoft, Apache Tomcat, and Apache HTTP Server across on-premises and cloud environments. Partnering with application development, cybersecurity, architecture, and cloud engineering teams, you will resolve production issues, strengthen platform resilience, and leverage automation and monitoring to improve service reliability.

##

What You’ll Do

  • Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain MuleSoft, Anypoint Platform, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and related middleware across on-premises and cloud environments. Support deployments, patching, certificates, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
  • Troubleshoot production issues involving middleware, APIs, JVM performance, databases, and networking. Support incident response, root cause analysis, change validation, recovery testing, and corrective actions.
  • Develop reusable automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Git-based tools to streamline administration, deployments, health checks, and recovery. Support Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD practices.
  • Leverage observability tools, logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts to monitor availability, performance, errors, and resource utilization. Identify trends and support capacity and resilience planning.
  • Maintain secure configurations, access controls, runbooks, and audit-ready procedures. Partner with cybersecurity teams, validate approved AI-assisted recommendations, and participate in off-hours on-call support.

##

What You’ll Bring

You are a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving complex production problems and improving enterprise platform operations. You bring strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, middleware expertise, and a practical approach to automation and reliability. You work independently, communicate clearly, collaborate across IT, and balance operational priorities while adhering to security, change management, and governance standards.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in middleware administration, application platform support, infrastructure operations, or platform engineering.
  • Production experience with MuleSoft or comparable middleware and Apache Tomcat or similar Java application servers, including JVM troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows, HTTP/S, TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, relational databases, and SQL.
  • Experience with operational automation using Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or comparable tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex incidents and support secure operations, change management, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Runtime Manager, API Manager, Access Management, CloudHub, or hybrid runtimes.
  • Experience with New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog, or similar observability tools, including dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing.
  • Exposure to AWS or Azure, containers, Git-based CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code or Configuration-as-Code.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, service metrics, and approved AI-assisted operations or AIOps.
