The Opportunity As an Engineering Intern – Capital Projects, you will gain valuable, real-world experience in engineering project management while supporting a high-impact capital project under the guidance of experienced department leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to take an active role in project planning, execution, and performance tracking while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Support Change Management: Gain exposure to Management of Change (MOC) processes and help ensure project activities follow established procedures.
Measure Project Performance: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project progress against established goals.
Identify Risks and Opportunities: Proactively assess potential project challenges and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and execution.
Communicate Results: Prepare clear, concise project updates and reports for department leaders and management.

What You'll Gain At Neogen, we believe the best learning happens through experience. Throughout your internship, you'll have the opportunity to:

Gain hands-on experience managing a real-world capital project.
Develop foundational project management, planning, and execution skills.
Strengthen your ability to communicate technical information to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Learn how engineering projects are planned, budgeted, monitored, and executed within an active operational environment.
Build confidence in problem-solving, decision-making, and professional leadership.
Gain exposure to industry-standard project management tools, processes, and methodologies.

Your Final Project: At the conclusion of your internship, you'll have the opportunity to present your project's progress and accomplishments to the leadership team, highlighting the initial project state, improvements and milestones achieved, and recommendations for future success.

What Success Looks Like By the end of your internship, you will have contributed to the successful advancement of a capital project while developing valuable skills that will support your future engineering career.

Success will be demonstrated through:
