Original job description

Project Coordinator, Lab Operations

Natera | Entry-Level | Lab Operations

About Natera

Natera is a global leader in cell-free DNA testing, with diagnostic solutions spanning Women's Health, Oncology, Organ Health, and Rare Disease. Our work helps clinicians and patients make earlier, better-informed health decisions, and our teams are driven by the impact of that mission every day.

About the Role

As a Project Coordinator on our Lab Operations team, you'll be the organizational backbone that keeps cross-functional projects moving. You'll support Program and Project Managers across a variety of department initiatives, handling the scheduling, documentation, and tracking that help teams deliver on time and within scope. This is an excellent entry point for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to project management in a fast-paced, science-driven environment.

What You'll Do

Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, capture meeting minutes, and maintain action item and decision logs
Track project deliverables and follow up on document approvals, including design control documentation, under the direction of the Program Manager
Maintain and update project schedules and Gantt charts to keep status and timelines accurate
Schedule and coordinate project team meetings and manage logistics so issues are resolved quickly
Adapt to shifting priorities and support multiple projects or programs as needed
Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

Required

Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
0–2 years of experience in a project support, administrative, or coordination role (internships and co-ops count)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, and comfort working with cross-functional teams and leadership
Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar productivity tools, and a willingness to learn new systems quickly
A proactive, dependable, team-oriented approach

Nice to Have

Coursework or exposure to life sciences, molecular biology, or genetics
Familiarity with project tracking concepts such as Gantt charts, action item logs, or project schedules
Experience with tools like Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or SharePoint

Work Environment

This is primarily an office-based role. You'll use a computer keyboard, communicate by phone and video, and read printed and digital material. Occasional work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Compensation & Total Rewards

This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of hire. Final compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and skills considerations.

This position is also eligible for additional compensation and benefits through Natera’s robust Total Rewards program, including:

• Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision)

• 401(k) with company match

• Generous paid time off and company holidays

• Additional wellness and work-life benefits

Compensation Range

$70,000 - $80,000 USD

OUR OPPORTUNITY

Natera™ is a global leader in cell-free DNA (cfDNA) testing, dedicated to oncology, women’s health, and organ health. Our aim is to make personalized genetic testing and diagnostics part of the standard of care to protect health and enable earlier and more targeted interventions that lead to longer, healthier lives.

The Natera team consists of highly dedicated statisticians, geneticists, doctors, laboratory scientists, business professionals, software engineers and many other professionals from world-class institutions, who care deeply for our work and each other.
