  • Define product requirements, technical capabilities, configuration standards, and lifecycle support strategies based on customer needs, fleet operating experience, and market demand.
  • Identify opportunities for new products, aftermarket offerings, equipment upgrades, modernization, performance improvement, and expanded lifecycle support services.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities, including product introduction, installed-base support, configuration management, obsolescence mitigation, and long-term product supportability.
  • Evaluate competitive technologies, market trends, customer applications, and emerging power generation requirements to identify product differentiation and commercial growth opportunities.
  • Establish product priorities based on technical feasibility, customer value, operational risk, resource requirements, and commercial return.
  • Maintain product specifications, technical documentation, configuration baselines, and portfolio performance metrics.
  • Develop business cases for product development, service expansion, strategic partnerships, and aftermarket investments.

Gas Turbine Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical product leadership and subject-matter expertise for aero-derivative gas turbines and associated balance-of-plant systems.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of engine architecture, compressor and turbine sections, combustion systems, bearings, lubrication systems, fuel systems, starting systems, controls, instrumentation, inlet and exhaust systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Interpret technical manuals, engine specifications, service bulletins, engineering drawings, performance data, maintenance reports, and operating histories.
  • Support technical investigations, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective action development for equipment performance and reliability issues.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and ensure product recommendations align with approved engineering data, OEM requirements, equipment limitations, and applicable safety standards.

Strategic Supply Chain and Supplier Relationship Development

  • Establish, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, authorized distributors, independent aftermarket suppliers, component manufacturers, repair facilities, overhaul providers, and specialized field service organizations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers capable of providing component repairs, engine module repairs, hot-section services, refurbishment, testing, overhaul, and field service support.

Installation, Deployment, and Configuration Advisory

  • Advise customers on installation readiness, site preparation, equipment layout, foundation requirements, inlet and exhaust systems, fuel supply, lubrication systems, electrical interfaces, controls integration, cooling requirements, and balance-of-plant considerations.
  • Evaluate deployment configurations for permanent installations, mobile power generation, temporary power, emergency response, fast-start applications, industrial power generation, and other applicable operating environments.
  • Support technical planning for equipment installation, commissioning, integration, acceptance testing, and transition to commercial operation.
  • Help customers establish appropriate commissioning plans, operating procedures, maintenance readiness, spare-parts inventories, and service support arrangements before equipment deployment.

Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability Optimization

  • Advise customers on operational best practices, including startup and shutdown procedures, load management, performance monitoring, fuel management, operating limits, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • Provide guidance on preventive and predictive maintenance, borescope inspections, combustion inspections, hot-section inspections, major maintenance events, and overhaul planning, as applicable.
  • Ensure that operational and maintenance recommendations remain consistent with equipment-specific OEM guidance, approved operating limits, and authorized technical procedures.

Cross-Functional Leadership, Quality, and Compliance

  • Coordinate product and service initiatives across engineering, quality, procurement, supply chain, field service, operations, sales, and finance.
  • Establish clear requirements, project schedules, deliverables, milestones, and accountability for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple platforms, customers, suppliers, and product development programs.
  • Promote disciplined engineering change management, configuration control, technical documentation, supplier qualification, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure that technical recommendations and supplier arrangements comply with applicable safety, environmental, regulatory, contractual, and quality requirements.
  • Support product quality investigations, supplier corrective actions, nonconformance resolution, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Maintain appropriate oversight of technical risk and ensure modifications affecting engine performance, safety, or operating limitations receive the required engineering review and authorization.
