Senior Production Operator

Location: Norwalk, OH (onsite)

Type: Temp-to-perm · Full time · 2nd shift Monday to Thursday, 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, or 3rd shift Monday to Thursday nights, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM

A plastics materials manufacturer in Norwalk is hiring senior operators to run their own section of the production floor. Both shifts are four 10-hour days with three days off every week, and the job converts to permanent with full benefits.

What you'll do

• Set up, start and run blending and extrusion equipment to make compounds to customer spec
• Weigh and measure ingredients to recipe
• Monitor the run and handle first-level troubleshooting before escalating
• Complete SAP transactions, production logs and end-of-shift paperwork
• Help train new operators on processes and procedures
• Meet ISO and EH&S requirements every shift

What you bring

• 3+ years in blending, mixing or extrusion in plastics, polymer or chemical manufacturing
• Real machine setup and startup experience, beyond loading
• SAP experience: production transactions, batch records, shift paperwork
• Active forklift certification
• Comfortable in a chemical plant with PPE; able to lift 55 lbs often and help move up to 250 lbs occasionally
• High school diploma or GED

Possible Friday overtime on 2nd shift and Sunday overtime on 3rd. PPE provided.
