QUALITY TECHNICIAN - 1ST SHIFT

Berea, OH | $20.00 - $21.00/hr | Contract to Hire

Mural Group is partnering with a global specialty chemical and materials manufacturer to hire a Quality Technician for their Berea, Ohio facility. This is a 1st shift, Monday through Friday role for candidates with hands-on color matching and lab testing experience. If you are currently doing quality or lab work on a rotating or evening schedule and want straight days at a stable company, this is worth looking at.

The Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No evenings. No weekends.

What You Will Be Doing

This is a bench-level quality and lab role. You are the technical resource the production team calls when a batch needs evaluation.

• Test production batches against customer and internal specifications and determine pass, hold, or adjust disposition
• Recommend and develop adjustments to batches that do not meet specifications
• Test incoming raw materials and verify supplier Certificates of Analysis
• Complete and issue COA documentation to customers
• Record all test results and maintain reference files in SAP
• Verify calibration and accuracy of gauges and test equipment
• Participate in complaint investigations and corrective action processes as needed
• Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements throughout the shift

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 year of color matching experience - evaluating color against a master standard using instruments such as a spectrophotometer or colorimeter, and making or recommending adjustments
• 1 year of quality or lab testing experience in a manufacturing environment
• 1 year of production experience to understand the floor context your testing supports
• Experience recording quality data in SAP or a comparable ERP or LIMS system
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and work in an industrial environment with required PPE
• Reliable transportation to Berea, OH - this is an on-site role
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain one
