Manufacturing Project Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (onsite)

Type: Permanent · Full time · Office-based, with travel to customer sites as needed

An engineering and equipment company that serves steel and metals producers is hiring a Project Manager for its Pittsburgh office. You'll own a portfolio of large equipment projects and the customer relationships behind them, from contract through delivery. The hiring team is interviewing now.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary contact for external customers on each of your projects
• Manage timelines and milestones and keep deliverables on schedule
• Coordinate engineering and technical service teams across projects at different stages
• Keep customers informed and work with technical sales managers on account needs
• Visit customer plants alongside technical and sales staff when projects call for it

What you bring

• Project management or coordination in capital equipment, heavy industrial, metals or EPC work (not software or admin PM)
• A history of owning the customer relationship yourself on complex, multi-party projects
• Ability to run several concurrent projects without slippage
• Enough technical fluency to talk credibly with engineers and plant teams; an engineering degree isn't required
• Strong written and verbal communication, and the discipline to run your own project desk
