Maintenance Technician

Location: Aurora, IL (onsite)

Pay: $33.50–$41.50/hr, plus a $500 tool allowance

Type: Temp-to-perm · Full time · Nights 7:00pm–7:00am, continental schedule (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off)

A food manufacturer in Aurora needs a night-shift maintenance technician with strong electrical skills. You'll handle preventive work and breakdowns across the plant, work on your own or with the crew, and get a $500 tool allowance.

What you'll do

• Respond fast to breakdowns on the production floor and get lines back up
• Troubleshoot and fix electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and plumbing issues
• Complete PMs and work orders safely and on time
• Work with supervisors, leads and operators to set repair priorities, and assist outside contractors
• Train operators and other mechanics, and learn from them too
• Document work and communicate with the team on a tablet

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical knowledge, plus conveyors, motors, gearboxes and plumbing
• Can read schematics and blueprints and use hand, power and shop tools safely
• Able to work in high heat, stay on your feet all shift, climb stairs and equipment in a multi-level plant, and lift 50 lbs
• Available for weekends and overtime as needed
