Location: Charlotte, NC (onsite)

Type: Permanent · Full time · 7:00am–3:30pm (currently running 7:00am–5:00pm)

An established nonwoven manufacturer is growing its maintenance team and wants a mechanic who likes variety. You'll keep specialized production lines running, and you'll get on-the-job training to build your electrical skills, including three-phase motors, contactors and PLC fault finding.

What you'll do

  • Run scheduled PMs: inspect, clean, calibrate and lubricate plant equipment
  • Repair mechanical failures, replacing belts, chains, seals and bearings on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps and drives
  • Service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves and lines
  • Maintain fiber processing equipment such as carding and web-forming lines, bonding ovens and needle looms
  • Weld, cut and fabricate guards, brackets and simple structural parts
  • Record repairs and parts in the CMMS and follow LOTO on every job

What you bring

  • 1–3 years as an industrial maintenance mechanic, ideally in manufacturing
  • Strong with power transmission: bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Basic welding and fabrication
  • A real commitment to safety, and willingness to work overtime and respond to breakdowns

Nice to have: Electrical experience (not required, they'll train you), textile, nonwoven or converting equipment, or a CMMS such as SAP or Maximo.
