Substitute School Counselor

Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and compassionate part or full-time school counselor to support our TK–8th grade students at two sites. This position is available October 28 through January 29th. Schedule: Currently the position is a total of 5 days per week ~3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) at Mupu and 2 days per week (Tuesday, Friday) at Mesa Union. The three days at Mupu include overseeing our ELOP program so hours are from 9:30-5:30. Mesa days are 8-4pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the Extended Learning Opportunities Program at Mupu Provide individual and small group counseling services to both general education and special education students Continue and support ongoing student counseling goals and services Collaborate with staff to support student social-emotional needs Deliver classroom lessons on social-emotional learning and related topics, as time allows Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess ONE of the following:

1. License as a Marriage, Family, Child Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist issued by a licensing agency within the Department of Consumer Affairs;
2. License as an Educational Psychologist issued by a licensing agency within the Department of Consumer Affairs;
3. License as a Psychologist issued by a licensing agency within the Department of Consumer Affairs; or
4. License as a Clinical Social Worker issued by the licensing agency within the Department of Consumer Affairs. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

Comments and Other Information A PPS credential with a Counseling degree will also suffice!
