Arabic Language Teacher Multicultural Academy – Ann Arbor, Michigan Position Title: Arabic Language Teacher Job Type: Full-Time Location: Multicultural Academy Reports To: School Principal / School Leadership Position Description Multicultural Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and highly qualified Arabic Language Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a commitment to student achievement, and the ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment. The Arabic Language Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering effective Arabic language instruction that promotes proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The teacher will support students at varying levels of language proficiency while fostering an appreciation for Arabic language, literature, and culture. • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Arabic language lessons aligned with curriculum standards and student learning objectives.
• Teach Arabic reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary through differentiated instructional strategies.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that accommodate students with varying language abilities and academic needs.
• Establish a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instruction.
• Integrate technology, interactive activities, and culturally relevant resources to enhance student engagement.
• Provide individualized support and interventions to students requiring additional assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school administrators regarding student achievement and classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with teachers, instructional staff, and school leadership to support schoolwide academic goals.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school improvement initiatives.
• Promote cultural awareness, mutual respect, and appreciation for linguistic diversity.
• Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Arabic Language, or a closely related field.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement, or eligibility for an applicable Michigan-approved teaching authorization.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Arabic, including reading, writing, speaking, and grammar.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Commitment to student achievement, professional growth, and collaboration.
• Ability to meet all applicable Michigan school employment and background check requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching Arabic in a K–12 educational setting.
• Experience working with multilingual learners and students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, instructional technology, and student assessment.
• Experience using innovative teaching strategies to increase student engagement and language proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English.
