Original job description

A well-capitalized commercial bank is in scale mode:

  • Deposits up 15% YoY
  • CRE team tasked with doubling production in the next 24 months
  • Immediate priority: adding proven revenue producers

This is not a backfill. This is a buildout. The Role This is a true origination seat. The BDO will be the primary CRE producer is responsible for sourcing and closing low-leverage investor CRE transactions, primarily through the mortgage broker channel. The right person is a hunter with a portable network - not a portfolio manager. Target Deal Profile The platform is highly disciplined credit-wise, but extremely competitive on pricing.

  • Average loan size: ~$10MM
  • Investor-owned, stabilized CRE (all major use types)
  • Max 50% LTV
  • Low-risk, low-leverage credit box

The bank competes on price, not structure. Pricing Advantage (Why Producers Win Here) This lender plays in the same space as LifeCo's and top-tier commercial banks.

  • Strong win-rate in brokered low-leverage transactions

Originators are equipped to take market share without stretching credit.
