Join an Award-Winning Marine Team!
Are you a finance professional who loves working with people, closing deals, and driving revenue? Do you thrive in a sales environment where relationship building, financial expertise, and customer experience go hand in hand?
We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Finance & Insurance Manager / Business Manager to play a key role in the success of a growing marine and boat sales organization. This is a highly visible, sales-focused position that works hand in hand with the Sales Team and touches virtually every transaction-from financing and payment solutions to warranties, protective coatings, and additional products that enhance the customer's boating experience.
This is more than a traditional finance position. The right individual will help drive sales, maximize revenue opportunities, build lasting customer relationships, and ensure every customer receives a professional, seamless buying experience.
What makes this opportunity special? The company has been recognized for eight consecutive years for achieving an employee satisfaction rating of 90% or higher-an exceptional record and a testament to its outstanding culture, team environment, and commitment to its employees.
If you want to work for a company where people matter, relationships drive business, and your contributions directly impact success, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Insurance (F&I) Sales
- Manage the finance and insurance process for boat sales, maintaining involvement throughout every customer transaction.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to structure deals, present financing options, and help convert sales opportunities into completed transactions.
- Present and sell F&I products, including extended warranties, protection plans, protective coatings, and other relevant aftermarket products.
- Develop customized payment plans and financing solutions that align with customer needs and available lending programs.
- Coordinate with banks, lenders, and financial institutions to secure financing, facilitate approvals, and support smooth transaction closings.
- Identify opportunities to increase F&I product penetration, improve deal profitability, and generate incremental revenue.
- Support cash conversions by helping customers evaluate available payment and financing options, as appropriate.
- Ensure customers understand financing terms, product benefits, and required documentation before completing their purchases.
Sales Partnership & Revenue Generation
- Partner closely with sales representatives from the beginning of the sales process through closing and delivery.
- Become a trusted resource for the Sales Team, helping overcome financing obstacles, strengthen customer confidence, and close more deals.
- Maintain a hands-on presence in every sale to identify opportunities for additional products and services.
- Build strong relationships with customers, sales professionals, lenders, and business partners.
- Develop a consultative sales approach that prioritizes customer needs while maximizing legitimate revenue opportunities.
- Track F&I performance, product sales, financing activity, and other key performance indicators.
- Contribute ideas and strategies to improve closing ratios, customer satisfaction, and overall dealership profitability.
Financial Administration & Bookkeeping
- Assist with bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping related to sales transactions.
- Maintain accurate deal jackets, financing documents, product agreements, and transaction records.
- Assist with payment processing, reconciliations, deposits, and other transaction-related financial activities as assigned.
- Coordinate with internal accounting personnel to support accurate reporting and timely completion of transactions.
- Maintain compliance with applicable financing, insurance-product, consumer-protection, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience in Finance & Insurance, automotive, power sports or marine dealership finance, business management, consumer lending, or a related sales-driven financial role.
- Demonstrated ability to close sales, present financial products, and identify opportunities to increase transaction profitability.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and customer service skills.
- Experience working closely with a sales team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with consumer financing, lending institutions, payment plans, warranties, protection products, and related offerings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Basic bookkeeping, financial recordkeeping, and transaction reconciliation experience.
- Comfort with financial calculations, dealership systems, CRM platforms, and standard business software.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to balance revenue generation with transparent, customer-focused sales practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous F&I or Business Manager experience in marine, automotive, RV, powersports, or other high-value consumer sales environments.
- Experience selling extended warranties, protection plans, coatings, or other aftermarket products.
- Established relationships with banks, lenders, or financing providers.
- Familiarity with boat sales, marine dealerships, or the recreational boating industry.
Compensation & Earning Potential
- Commission: 12%–15% commission on qualifying F&I deals, as defined by the company's compensation plan.
- Competitive Base Salary
- Direct opportunity to influence earnings through F&I sales, product penetration, and successful deal closings.
- A role with a meaningful impact on overall sales performance and business profitability.
