Substitutes

The Mount Abraham Unified School District is seeking reliable, flexible, and dedicated substitutes to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working with students and are looking for a flexible schedule in a supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver lesson plans and classroom activities provided by the regular classroom teacher
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive classroom environment
• Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
• Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during recess (as needed)
• Leave a written summary of the day for the returning teacher
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $22.61 Licensed Substitute $25.37 School Nurse with RN License $30.56

Requirements

• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt to different classroom environments
• Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to student learning
• Must pass a criminal background check with fingerprinting
