Position Summary Are you interested in learning how a business operates and gaining experience working alongside company leadership? Morgan 6 (M6) is seeking a dependable, curious, and motivated Administrative Intern to support our Executive Assistant. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build professional skills, explore business administration, and gain exposure to the day-to-day activities of a growing company. The intern will assist with general administrative activities, research, coordination, and special projects while gaining insight into executive support and business operations. There may also be opportunities to observe meetings, interact with different departments, and learn how areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Business Development, and Operations work together to support the business. This is a flexible, hands-on learning opportunity - not a traditional structured internship. Assignments will vary based on business needs, available projects, and the intern's interests. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to help, and interested in gaining practical workplace experience.

No extensive prior work experience is required. A positive attitude, dependability, initiative, and willingness to learn are most important.

What You'll Do

The intern will work alongside the Executive Assistant on a variety of administrative and business support activities. Assignments may include:

  • Executive Support: Assist with general administrative tasks.
  • Office & Company Support: Assist with company merchandise, inventory, employee appreciation activities, and shipping coordination.
  • Project Assistance: Help with small projects, document organization, and other business initiatives as needed.
  • Learning & Observation: Shadow the Executive Assistant, observe business activities, and gain exposure to how company leadership and different departments operate.
  • General Support: Approved business-related errands, as necessary.

Assignments will be appropriate to the intern's experience and abilities, with guidance and support provided along the way.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from high school, college, or a university program.
  • Interest in learning about business operations, administration, or the professional workplace.
  • Dependable, organized, and willing to take initiative.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
  • Good communication skills and professional demeanor.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to follow instructions, manage simple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling business information.
  • Availability for occasional onsite activities in the Charleston Metropolitan area.

Requirements

Preferred, but not required:

  • Interest in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in customer service, volunteering, or an office environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or other business productivity tools.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional approved local assignments. What You'll Gain This internship is an opportunity to learn by doing, observe, and ask questions. You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Learn how a small business operates and how different departments contribute to its success.
  • Develop practical administrative, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Gain experience with common business tools, documents, meetings, and office activities.
  • Build confidence, workplace awareness, and professional experience.
  • Explore potential interests in business administration, management, and other professional career paths.

Schedule & Compensation This is a part-time, hybrid internship requiring approximately 10–20 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules and business needs. The intern must be available to work on-site at 997 Morrison Drive, Charleston, SC 29403, as needed for shipping, inventory management, office coordination, and local errands. Research and other administrative assignments may be completed remotely with supervisor approval. Compensation ranges from $7.25 to $12.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Interested? If you're dependable, curious, and interested in learning more about the business world, we'd like to hear from you! You don't need to have all the answers or extensive experience - just bring a willingness to learn, contribute, and be part of the team.
