Skills and Competencies * Strong generalist engineering experience with the ability to design, build, and deliver reliable software across the full stack * Proficiency in Python or similar for backend services and AI workloads, and TypeScript or React (or comparable frameworks) for frontend development * Hands on experience with GoLang, AWS and Kubernetes / Hashi Stack are must haves * Hands-on experience with large language models in production, including retrieval-augmented generation, evaluations, and deployment * Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, containerization, and the operational responsibilities that come with owning production services * Experience working with complex, real-world data sources including documents, contracts, and internal enterprise systems * Demonstrated product instinct with the ability to translate user needs into software decisions and clearly communicate technical tradeoffs to non-engineers * Proven ability to lead projects independently and serve as a strong collaborative teammate when appropriate * Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organizationEducation * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceResponsibilitiesBuild and lead the development of AI-powered software solutions that solve real business problems across Moody's, from discovery through production * Identify high-friction problems across the business and design software solutions that address them effectively * Build full-stack applications powered by modern AI tooling, owning delivery end-to-end * Lead technical design and direction on assigned projects, articulating tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders * Spend meaningful time with end users to understand how they work and translate those insights into informed product decisions * Ship to production and maintain accountability for the quality and performance of systems post-launch * Review, test, and approve code to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with engineering standards * Support and mentor engineers on the team, contributing to their technical growth and development * Contribute to continuous improvement of team practices, tooling, and standardsAbout the TeamOur Applied AI Engineering team is responsible for driving innovation and building scalable AI solutions across Moody's.
