ASL Aide

Job Summary The Temporary ASL Aide will provide American Sign Language (ASL) support to a student who is deaf or hard of hearing. The aide does not require credentialing as an ASL interpreter, but must be generally fluent in conversational ASL, as a support to a preschool-age student. Under the direction of the classroom teacher and administration, the aide will facilitate communication, support the student's participation in classroom instruction and activities, and promote social interaction with peers and staff.

This is a temporary, part-time position scheduled for approximately four hours per day, with a flexible work schedule of up to five days per week based on student needs and program requirements. The number of days worked may vary, and the position will continue on a temporary basis as determined by the District.
