Multiple Positions Available Job Goal The General Custodian plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and the community. This position supports daily school operations by performing routine cleaning, light maintenance, and event setup to ensure facilities are well maintained throughout the school day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Basic Qualifications - High school diploma or GED preferred - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderate physical labor - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, students, and the public - Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors - Successful completion of a criminal background check - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (for applicable positions) - Basic computer and email skills, including the ability to use a Windows-based computer or iPad to submit work requests through the district's ticketing system ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Essential Responsibilities Sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and wax floors Shampoo carpets using appropriate equipment Clean walls, vents, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, and other interior surfaces Wash windows, glass doors, and blinds Empty trash and recycling and maintain cleanliness around entrances and common areas Clean and restock restrooms and report plumbing or facility concerns as needed
