Do you enjoy spending time with others and making someone’s day a little brighter?

As a Companion, you’ll provide meaningful one-on-one support, helping clients feel connected, engaged, and cared for.

Job Requirements:

• Must be willing to work in Oneonta, NY
• Part-time availability: Weekdays, 4 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling: No set days or times required at this time (opportunity for additional hours as client needs increase)
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to clock in/out electronically
• Have compassion, reliability, trustworthiness, and honesty

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional support and companionship to identified members
• Active listening and conversation
• Engage members in ongoing social interaction, activities, or movement
• Games, puzzles, arts and crafts, reading aloud, watching TV/movies together
• Spend time with the member for the duration of the shift
• Alert nurses when the individual needs help or clinical intervention
• Adhere to the facility's policies and standards
