SRE Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a SRE Engineer for a Contract with a client in Phoenix, AZ. This role is responsible for developing proactive reliability solutions, synthetic monitoring, and automation frameworks across enterprise environments. Rate Range: $45/Hour to $56/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

SRE Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise observability solutions using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Develop monitoring dashboards, logging frameworks, distributed tracing, and alerting mechanisms to ensure platform reliability.
• Build and enhance synthetic monitoring capabilities and proactively identify system performance and availability issues.
• Automate operational tasks and integrations using Python, Bash, and Shell scripting.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation leveraging Docker, Git, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage incidents, drive root cause analysis, and improve service reliability in Agile environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Observability, Monitoring, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise with OpenTelemetry (OTEL), Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenSearch/ELK, and cloud-native observability tools.
• Proven experience building monitoring dashboards, logging, tracing, alerting, and synthetic monitoring solutions.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $56.00 per hour
